Kell Counseling Dept. Dual Enrollment Informational Meetings
The Cobb County School District has deadlines for submitting Dual Enrollment paperwork. Kell High School does not adhere to the college deadlines. If students do not submit the required paperwork by the deadlines below, they will not be eligible to participate in Dual Enrollment.
Spring deadline: December 1st
Summer and Fall deadline: May 1st
Due to the CCSD School Closure, interested students and parents are encouraged to email Ms. Givens (Catelyn.Givens@cobbk12.org) for a recorded version of the information session.
Dual Enrollment programs provide opportunities for Georgia high school students to take college-level courses and earn credit toward a high school diploma and a college degree at the same time.
Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit courses are available for any eligible 10th - 12th grade high school students.
Program requirements at each college are different. It is up to the student to find out the requirements for the college they would like to earn credit at. Requirements may include things like ACCUPLACER or ACT/SAT testing, application, transcripts, and deadlines.

Students applying to a dual enrollment program at a technical college may also take the Accuplacer as both an entrance exam and placement test in lieu of the SAT or ACT.
